Many thanks for your warm treatment! It was a pleasure to meet you in person and to spend perfect holidays in a perfect location with very good people! We enjoyed the time in Oliveyard. Alexandra loved to play with Bella and accurately prepared every morning a sausage. She also was happy to meet both of you at the beach. Peaceful and wonderful surroundings !

This is a really beautiful place-quiet, peaceful and wonderful surroundings. The beach is the best we have found in Greece – the sand and the water are perfect! Thank you Marianna and Andreas for your help with the lift to Tsangarada-the walk back was magical – through the woods with tiny cyclamen growing in the heart of summer.

We leave with great memories!

We have spent an extremely nice week in this house. The glorious location, so near the picture perfect ‘Papa Nero’ beach, is of course the main attraction of Vergopoulos Olive Yard. But the house itself is very comfortable, especially the nice bed and linen. Nearby villages are very pretty and deserve a visit (Damouchari, Mouresi, Kissos, anilio) as well as other beaches. One special word of thanks for our hosts, Andreas and Marianna, for their kindness and immediate assistance when we arrived without our luggage. They are very friendly and competent hosts and give good advice for day trips. Many thanks and love from the Bories family

Absolutely gorgeous

This place was absolutely gorgeous and we immediately knew we had chosen the right place to stay. The owner and his wife were so friendly and sympathetic, we felt very welcome. The house was beautifully decorated, the beds were comfortable and it was nice to have someone come and check up the house every day. I personally loved the breakfasts on the terrace, the incredible smell of Pelion filling up the mornings. Even when rain fell, the house was cozy and comfly. It was an amazing trip to Greece, thanks to ‘Vergopoulos Oliveyard’. We will remember!

Secluded …

We didn’t know this part of Greece and it has been a great discovery. Once you arrive, after driving the steep and swirling roads, you just forget the trip and become one with the smells of multiple flowers, the view of the sea, the shadow of the trees. Pelion is a magic place, and one can understand why you built these cottages here, so close to the beach, and still secluded. Thank you for your hospitality and friendliness. We love Greece.

We had a great time, the place is beautiful and in an amazing location. Walking down to the beach is a fun experience and is beautiful. The kids loved having their own floor. The owners are generous. One of the best ways to relax

One of the best ways to relax is sitting on a terrace amongst olive trees, facing the sea and sipping red wine to the sounds of birdsong and cicadas. Cottage studios, apartments and duplex loft style maisonettes - tastefully decorated with a French seaside feel. Very comfortable quality furnishings, Coco Mat and Jardin de Ulysses branded products. Air conditioned, with free wifi and flat screen TV for those who need modern comforts alongside natural ones. cleaned daily and greek vanilla pastries for breakfast along with packs of French toast with jam and butter. Basic cutlery is provided along with carefully coordinated china/ glassware for simple meals - no pots or pans, though a 2 ring stove can be used to make Greek style coffee. We found blackberries growing wild along the road above Vergopoulos which made a delicious breakfast with yoghurt and bread, bought locally. The 4 person loft apartment had considerably more privacy than the lower studio or 3 person apartments, which are overlooked by those above as well as communal seating area. Steep steps lead down to Papa Nero beach where a good taverna and bar are a 10 minute walk. A further 10 minutes away is Agios Ioannis, with two bakeries, mini markets and several tavernas and bars. Pretty Damouchari is a 15 min walk along the road from Vergopoulos, up and over the hill in the opposite direction ( do not be tempted to follow the signposts from the beach as the path leads to an almost vertical climb back to the road) Popular with young families as well as couples, the English speaking Greek owners have succeeded in creating a stylish seaside retreat from city life, the tranquility of nature amongst the olive trees. Vergopoulos is a delightful and highly recommended taste of luxury.
